Who are we?

Our club aims to connect undergraduate Cornell students to organizations, like yours, to provide NY state residents with complimentary information on New York law, small claims procedure, and effective court presentations.

Our network is comprised of branches at Harvard University and the University of Pennsylvania. Together, we can provide information and support for small claims legal issues.

History

SCIS is an extension of the Small Claims Advisory Service founded at Harvard University in 1973. It began as a subcommittee of the Phillips Brooks House Legal Committee. The intended and continued goal was to assist clients in preparing for upcoming cases by informing them on their rights.
